Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has reached an estimated ₹733.35 crore at the worldwide box office after 12 days in cinemas, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The action sequel crossed ₹400 crore net in India, even as its second Monday brought a sharp fall in daily earnings.
The film collected an estimated ₹9.45 crore net in India on 26 October, down from ₹25.70 crore on Sunday. Its 12-day India net total stood at ₹408.15 crore, while its India gross reached ₹477.85 crore.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 opened in theatres on 15 October. Rajinikanth returns as retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the sequel to the 2023 film Jailer.
Jailer 2 Day 12 Collection: Tamil Version Leads
The Tamil version remained the film’s largest contributor on its second Monday. According to Sacnilk estimates reported by The Economic Times, the day 12 India net collection was split across four languages.

The film’s Monday collection fell approximately 63 percent from Sunday. The drop followed a stronger second weekend, when it earned an estimated ₹24.15 crore on Saturday and ₹25.70 crore on Sunday.
Jailer 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection
By the end of day 12, Sacnilk estimated that Jailer 2 had earned ₹477.85 crore gross in India and ₹255.50 crore gross overseas. Together, those figures put its worldwide gross at ₹733.35 crore.

Has Jailer 2 Broken the Tamil Film Box Office Record?
The Economic Times reports that Jailer 2 has overtaken Rajinikanth’s 2018 film 2.0 to become the highest-grossing Tamil film worldwide, based on the collection figures used in its report. It puts the earlier film’s worldwide total at ₹691 crore.
Record claims depend on the estimates used for both films, and historical totals can differ between sources. The film’s reported ₹733.35 crore worldwide haul nevertheless places it close to the ₹750 crore mark, approximately ₹16.65 crore away at the end of day 12.
What to Watch in the Second Week
The next few weekdays will show how well Jailer 2 holds its audience after the weekend. Monday’s decline was substantial, but the film had already built a large total across India and overseas.
A return to stronger ticket sales over the coming weekend could help its worldwide total climb further. For now, the ₹750 crore mark remains a target rather than an achieved milestone.
