The incident occurred during the film’s climax shoot in Bengaluru on October 13, according to Bollywood Hungama. It received further coverage on October 14 after behind-the-scenes footage circulated online.
The actor’s spokesperson confirmed to SCREEN, The Indian Express’s entertainment publication, that an accident had occurred during filming and that Hashmi was “fine”. That confirmation provides reassurance about the actor’s condition, although the exact circumstances behind the vehicle’s movement remain unclear.
What reportedly happened during the stunt
According to published accounts, the sequence involved a vehicle suspended above the set. Behind-the-scenes footage described by news outlets shows the vehicle flipping in the air before crashing onto a van positioned underneath. Hashmi was reportedly close to the point of impact.
Bollywood Hungama reported that the vehicle came loose from its mechanism and fell approximately a foot from the actor’s face. The publication said the incident briefly interrupted filming and that Hashmi did not sustain injuries. The reported distance has not been independently verified.
Filmfare also placed the incident in Bengaluru on October 13 and reported that shooting continued after a short disruption. However, its October 14 report said the filmmakers had yet to explain whether the fall occurred as intended or resulted from a technical problem.
